Sugar Cookies

SUGAR COOKIES

3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teasoppn lemon or almond flavoring
4 cups flour

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs,and flavoring. Add flour. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters.

Yummy Icing:
1 pound powdered sugar
1 stick butter
2 teaspoons peppermint or almond extract
1/4 cup milk OR water

Cream the powdered sugar and butter. Add the flavoring. Add enough milk or water just until combined.

This icing is pictured below:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla(omit if white)
3 tablespoons milk
Food coloring
In a small bowl beat together sygar, syrup and vanilla. Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time until smooth and glossy.
