JUNE'S HOT ROLLS
3 to 3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cube melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk
1/3 cup sugar, heaping
1 package yeast
1 beaten egg
Bread machine:
Add ingredients to bread maching in this order: milk, butter, egg, water, sugar, flour, salt, and yeast. Mix on the "dough" cycle. As it is mixing, watch the dough. If it looks too sticky, add more flour.
Kitchen Aid:
Mix water, yeast, and 1 teaspoon of the sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes. ( While it sits, I melt my butter and my warm milk in the microwave.) Add the rest of the ingredients, except 1 1/2 cups of flour. Using the dough hook, mix ingredients together. Once all ingredients have been mxed, slowly add flour until it is a ball of dough and doesn't stick to the edge of the bowl. Move dough to a bowl coated with Pam and cover with a towel. Let rise for 1 hour. Punch down and let sit for five minuted. While it sits, coat about 15 muffin tins with cooking spray and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll half of dough out on floured surface. Spread softened butter on top of dough and cut into long strips. Cut strips into 2 inch pieces. Place 3 pieces in each greased muffin tin. Let rise for 20 minutes. Bake for 12 minutes. After they are done baking, rub butter on tops while still warm.
